Condolence From: Douglas Steele
Condolence: It has been a long time since I have taken the time to think of the people who helped me most when I ran the restaurant Shamokin at Black Lake. Betty was certainly the rock that I could depend on when I needed help . She worked for myself and for Tom Best before me. She was more efficient, more organized and more personable than either of us.
I am sure she knew more about running the business than us both.
I am really happy for her long life and very sad that in the last many years, Betty suffered from Alzheimer disease. I am sure everyone is very proud of the family she raised and the memories everyone has of her. May she REST in PEACE .
